Your Raccoon Lake vacation Starts HEre

Raccoon Lake, or Cecil M. Harden Lake, is only a short drive from Indianapolis and other big Indiana cities. Although people flock to Parke County for the Bridge Festival, Raccoon Lake boats a beautiful lake with great fishing and a wonderful state park that will appeal to people from all backgrounds and walks of life. When you plan your trip to our area, you will find no shortage of fun things to do.

Raccoon Lake is 2,060 acres and roughly 11 miles long. The average depth is 24 feet with the deepest part near the dam around 70 feet.

Fishing and boating are two very popular things to do at Raccoon Lake. There are many fishing tournaments held here each year. Besides catching a nice bass you will find many species of fish suitable for a nice fresh dinner. If you didn't have much luck catching catfish head over to one of our restaurants for a nice catfish meal.

In addition to fishing, there are plenty of other activities including water sports, kayaking, boat rentals, camping, hiking, and archery ranges. Raccoon State Recreation Area offers some great trails that are worth a visit if you want to see some local wildlife. If rest and relaxation is what you are looking for, Raccoon Lake is the place. The lake will take you back to a place where you can relax and soak up the sun.

We never understood the appeal of jam-packed night clubs with overpriced drinks and grimy bathrooms with lines that wrap around the block. What we really understand is a twilight sky blazing with oranges and reds as the sun's light fades to reveal an infinite number of shimmering stars in a crystal clear night's sky. Yea, that's what we're about round here.
